Beyond the Booth
Kevin Glasford is a New York born DJ professionally known as The Gentleman DJ Sweat. He is an open format DJ who has played in several different venues throughout the Tri-State area, Texas, and overseas. He is inspired by The Magnificent DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jam Master Jay, DJ Scratch, DJ AM to name a few.
DJ Sweat has taken his journey from lounges and clubs to film and radio. He was featured in VH1’s “The Breaks” as DJ Breakmaster-Z and faced off in a DJ battle with Actor/Artist Mack Wilds. He was then honored to portray legendary DJ Jazzy Jay of the honorable hip hop group, Zulu Nation in the Netflix phenomenon, “The Get Down”. Sweat has also been featured on a few local radio stations around the city and hosted his own radio show on WVMR Radio in Long Island City.
You can find The Gentleman DJ Sweat at several different venues throughout the Tri-State area. From rooftops, lounges, and clubs to hotels and halls for those once in a lifetime special occasions.
